Top 3 best free E71 ereader apps

The Nokia E71 days are almost over. Inundated with so many new models that peoples attention are lead away from this awesome smartphone. Apart from that the popularity of android phones somehow takes away the throne previously enjoyed by the ever popular symbian phones.

However this smartphone still have something to offer to those willing to tinker on their phones. One of the few good applications to do just that are e-readers. With no further ado, let me list down for you some of the best e-readers around for our old buddy E71:

1. Mobipocket (Symbian)

Mobipocket reading environment with support for images.

One of the best I have used so far. I have no gripes on this one except for its limited format support which includes .prc and .mobi files. This limitation is however overcome with the use of its sister PC application Mobireader which should suffice to cover much of format left out. You can check out and download appropriate applications from here.

2. Bubue Books (Symbian)

Bubue's default and only reading environment.

Intentionally included this one to cover epub format as Mobipocket left this out, I have not tried this with Mobireader yet. What I like about this application is you don't have to convert files instead you send directly files to your cellphone via bluetooth, given of course your file is in .epub format (which you can readily find free downloads from legitimate sources).

3. Albite Reader (Java)

The simplistic Albite Reader.

This application may have one shortcomings which is its constant prompt for read and write access to your memory confirmation (this may need to be predefined at applications manager to get away with constant prompts) but it lives up to its promise of letting you read books on our old yet reliable E71. Well that all for now guys, if you have good piece of free ereaders I have left out on this list please feel free to add them below. Thanks and enjoy reading.
